STORY
Wesley Dombrecht (born 1979) is a Belgium-based photographer known for his prowess in both commercial and artistic food photography. His love for photography and art blossomed at a young age, parallel to his deep passion for food. This enduring interest led him to embark on a journey that initially focused on commercial and editorial food photography ( foodshot.be ) . In 2015, driven by a desire to explore the more artistic dimensions of his craft, Wesley ventured into conceptual food imagery, creating compelling series that captivate the imagination.
His fine-art work is Internationally acclaimed and awarded and has also been included in several group exhibitions. Over the years his works is being exhibited at several galleries like in Italy ( InArte Gallery ) & the Netherlands at ‘Grachten gallery’ and TON gallery.

Wesley is currently renowned for his captivating personal photography and art-series, primarily situated in the fine art and still-life genres, with a predominant focus on food. Industry Awards and Recognitions
In 2017, his personal work was recognized with a 1st place award in The London ‘Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2017’ in the category ‘Cream of the Crop’ with the image ‘Smoked Mackerel.’ in the same year he secured a 1st place GOLD Award in the ‘Fine-Art’ category at the Tokyo International Foto Awards for his series ‘Sprouting & Rotting.’ Since then, Wesley’s personal work has consistently garnered recognition in various International photo contests.
